Conferences hosting

The SEP laboratory hosts scientific mediation events. In particular, the conferences ”Seeking for performance”, but also congresses in collaboration with national and international learned societies in sports sciences. As a paramount example, INSEP and their Parisian partners will host the 28th congress of the European College of Sports Science from 4-7 July 2023 at the Palais des Congrès.

INTERNATIONAL CONGRESSES

In 2018, the SEP Laboratory entered the race to host the 2023 edition of the international congress of the European College of Sport Science. This candidature by the city of Paris to organise the congress is being led by INSEP, in collaboration with all the universities and institutes in the Paris region working on research issues relating to sport. Supported by Viparis, the Paris Tourist Office and in collaboration with the Cité Internationale Universitaire de la Ville de Paris, this consortium has been accepted by the ECSS Executive Board in Prague for the 2019 edition. The ECSS Presidency also travelled to Paris in February 2020, to visit the INSEP facilities, the Palais des Congrès de Paris at Porte Maillot and the Cité Internationale Universitaire, which is scheduled to welcome the congress delegates in 2023. The decision will be made by the ECSS Executive Board in Seville in October 2020.

After Dubai in 2017, the 6th international congress of the ECOSEP (European College of Sports and Exercise Physicians), will be held at the National Institute of Sport of France (INSEP) in Paris on 29 and 30 November 2019, organised in collaboration with the University and University Hospital of Liège, the European Association of Sports Dentists (EA4SD) and the FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence.

These conferences, organised by doctoral students from the SEP laboratory, help to communicate current scientific knowledge to those involved in the world of sport, as well as to students. They are organised around specific topics 4 times a year and broadcast on the Youtube Channel of l'INSEP.
