Who are we ?
The labororaty organization
Within the Performance Department at INSEP, the "Sport, Expertise and Performance" Laboratory (SEP, EA 7370) brings together researchers, engineers, administrative assistants, postdoctoral research fellows and PhD students involved in research, expertise and activities dealing with high-level sports performance. The research program of the SEP laboratory aims to better understand how to improve athletes’ performance while preserving, their availability to train and participate in competitions.
One of the specificities of the SEP Laboratory is to work in close collaboration with French teams at INSEP as part of the scientific support to the Olympic and Paralympic federations.
The lab missions are to analyze, innovate and actively participate in knowledge and tech transfer for the benefit of high-level sports performance. These actions are part of the perspective of major international events, in particular the Olympic and Paralympic Games, including those that will take place in Paris in 2024. The SEP Laboratory is part of the French-speaking network ReFORM, which received in 2018 the label "Research Centre for prevention of injury and protection of athlete health" from the International Olympic Committee.
